Ard van der Linden (2000) is woonachtig en geboren op het prachtige Zuid-HolCOUNTRYse eiCOUNTRY Goeree-Overflakkee in de mooie plaats Sommelsdijk.

In 2019, Ard started a new musical platform: The Art of Ard. Here, he can express his creativity and musicality. The video below was recorded with the aid of a drone in St. Joseph's Church in Haarlem.

From a young age, Ard has been involved with music. At the age of 7, he started at "het Muziekgebouw GO" in Middelharnis with the bugle (a brass wind instrument). After playing for several years in a youth fanfare/orchestra, Ard was admitted to the Sempre-Crescendo fanfare in Middelharnis in 2013. However, due to his progressive eye disease RP, Ard sadly had to leave Sempre-Crescendo in 2014.

At the same time that Ard stopped playing the bugle, he began playing the organ. After a few months of trying on his own, he took improvisation lessons with Paul Kieviet in the Grote Kerk of Middelharnis. After a fulfilling and educational period, June 2017 marked the time for the next step. This became the pre-conservatory education at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg, with Wouter van der Wilt as his instructor. Due to his visual impairment, Ard unfortunately could not continue with the subsequent course in 2018. Nevertheless, he continued to take lessons from Wouter v.d. Wilt on the organ at the Hoflaankerk in Rotterdam. In addition to the organ, Ard also plays the piano, primarily to improve his touch and technique. Besides this, it also serves as an outlet for new ideas.

Ard improvises in a broad stylistic idiom; the essence of his improvisations is to try to encapsulate the melody centrally in a good original technical form.

Currently, Ard is still expanding his expertise in the art of improvisation and is attending various masterclasses for this purpose. He also takes harmony lessons with Gerrit 't Hart in Ermelo.
